Currently The Sweaty Betties are working to build a fitness empire filled with laughter and a love of fitness, helping their fans understand that to love yourself is not selfish and that fitness takes time.
Danny-J is the owner of The Sweaty Betties: an “irreverent group of women who are looking to get fit and have a whole lot of fun along the way.”
The Sweaty Betties have grown exponentially since inception in September of 2011. Danny-J’s fans (The Sweaty Betties) are wildly enthusiastic about listening to someone who isn’t afraid to put some of the diet and exercise myths on blast. Danny-J was a national level fitness, figure and bikini competitor for 4 years. She learned the ins and outs of the fitness industry and some of the “secrets” of how cover-models get their physiques.
Danny’s passion in fitness lead her all the way through a Master’s program in Health Promotion and Exercise Science at California University of Pennsylvania. She holds numerous certifications for personal training and weight-loss and is an accomplished trainer, helping dozens of clients lose OVER 100 lbs. and helping 1,000’s of clients live healthier lives in her 8+ years training.
In March 2011 she graced the cover of Max Sports & Fitness Magazine and has had a dozen articles published within, it is distributed to over 30,000 nationwide. She also took The Sweaty Betties to television and had a monthly segment on “The Morning Dish” with ABC 4 in Salt Lake City, Utah for 4 months.
She learned that sweating and having fun go hand in hand and she wanted to reach out to others and share her experience. Her goal is to help as many people as possible learn the truth about nutrition and how to live a full, balanced and happy life.
Danny-J, wasn’t always such a positive and motivational person, however. She had her share of struggles, being a very suicidal teen, she ended up pregnant at 15 years old. She chose to place her daughter for adoption and that motivated her to start to get her act together, so she could be proud when and if she ever got to meet her child again.

She is now married to her best-friend and “Big Tattoo Muscle Man” and they live in Dallas, Texas with their two silly pups.
